My long time client Beluga Modern Japanese recently got their liquor license, and needed to create a cocktail menu, so they gave me a call. They had an idea of what they wanted for their menu- light and refreshing, with bright colors. Beluga typically gives me free range with very little direction, so it was cool to have a better sense of what they wanted. I pride myself in the fact that I can thrive in both autonomy, and collaboration.

Located in Round Rock the restaurant has a small patio being remodeled at the time. It was the good place to set up my shoot. It’s a covered patio, but it looked out to a parking lot. To get around this I decided to shoot with shallow depth of field. Luckily the patio was built with raw wood and the popular limestone found in central Texas. It worked out great.
